May 20, 2026 – Earlier this month, the Fathom4sight team had the opportunity to attend the Payments Canada SUMMIT, where industry leaders, innovators, and financial institutions came together to discuss the future of payments in Canada. The event sparked meaningful conversations around modernization, digital transformation, and the technologies reshaping how money moves across the ecosystem.
One of the highlights for our team was seeing our CEO & Founder Surinderjit Kaur Bhatti (Jeet) speak on “Who Will Control the Future of Banking? The Next System Shift.” The session explored the transformative decade ahead for Canada’s payments landscape, including the rise of real-time payment rails, embedded payments, digital wallets, stablecoins, and AI-driven infrastructure. It also examined the growing importance of interoperability, FinTech collaboration, and intelligent payment ecosystems supporting SMEs and digital commerce.
The discussions throughout the summit reinforced just how quickly the industry is evolving - and how important it is for organizations to stay ahead of emerging trends while continuing to prioritize security, accessibility, and customer experience. As innovation accelerates, collaboration between financial institutions, FinTechs, and ecosystem builders will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of payments.
